The corporate events business is growing rapidly in China! We have several clients who’ve asked us to send proposals and are waiting to hear from us. But we don’t have enough qualified staff to handle this much business! If you have any experience at all in event management, please let us know! Events Coordinator – Responsible for sourcing suitable candidates as speakers at event. This position requires knowledge of conducting research on the internet leading to updated information as to who are most qualified to talk on specific subjects. This position will be responsible for being the company’s interface with all speakers, moderators and panelists.

Logistics Manager – Responsible for finding suitable venues for all events. Some events require very prestigious six star venues, but some only require minimal facilities. Incumbent will need to conduct ongoing research of what is available in the China market.  This position also requires the candidate’s negotiation skills to be quite strong. Familiarity with banquet sales and hotel billing systems will be a strong advantage.

Business Development Manager – This position will enable the candidate to expand and grow his / her personal network in the Marketing Communications industry. The incumbent will take our existing relationships and build this, leveraging knock-on relationships and referrals as we grow the event business. For the near term we are focusing on business development in Beijing and will open an office in Shanghai in early 2008. Tier two and three cities will be tackled afterwards.

Customer Service Agent – Act as liaison with delegates attending our events. To people who have or will register to attend the events, the customer service agent is the face of the company. You will need to present an upbeat, professional demeanor in all dealings with clients primarily on the telephone. You will also be responsible for all on site registration procedures and processes. In addition, when delegates want to register, you will be the staff member to process the transaction. In rare cases, you will deal with irate participants, but you will need to maintain the highest degree of professionalism.

Marketing Manager – Our events require production of a complete range of marketing materials and collaterals. Dealing with the graphic designer, you will arrange all the printed materials to be distributed to delegates. You will be responsible for coordinating the various interests from all the different stakeholders and making sure that all bases are covered. In addition, the marketing manager will be responsible for developing new marketing alliances with other organizations.

Copy Editor – This position is responsible for editing all English language material that is printed. Experience level of a native English speaker is required for this position.
